size is everything

regarding the weight issue that is floating around right now?

i think we could really just ease up some of the tension by slapping the clothing industry around for a little bit and convincing them that you can’t break sizes down into neat little S, M and L categories and that women above size 8 are people too and that we should be allowed the priviledge of wearing cute things the same as skinny girls.

it would seem that the bigger your size the less the fashion industry cares about what you put on your body. its as if the minute you move above size 10 you are regulated to tent dresses and nancy reagan suits. and don’t get me started on bras. everytime i see my size in something remotely cute i have to snatch it up because LORD knows how few and far between that combo is.

basically skinny ladies: i am just jealous that you get all the cute shit and i have to stick to muu-muus and leggings.

peace out!

I don’t think this is necessarily true.  It requires a lot more effort, but fashion above size 12 is achievable.  The cute shit is a lot harder to find and often, more expensive.  But if you know the pieces you want, between the major plus size stores and the internet, you can put together a really great, fashionable wardrobe.
