Now, here are some awesome ones!There are plenty of literary tattoos out there, and plenty of tattooed librarians. A bit less common are librarians with tattoos celebrating their career choice.
And here are some of my library-themed tattoos: my shushing finger reads “shh” using a typewriter font from a card catalog card. The traditional Light of Knowledge is based on the headlight to my scooter. I have a librarian pinup shelving books from a cart (based on one of the 50+ year-old carts in my library). I got my MLS (actually an MS-LIS) from Drexel University, hence the dragon, and I earned my BA in English Literature from Temple University — GO OWLS! And finally, feast your eyes on my sweet card catalog, ahh. Most tattoos designed and tattooed by Dave Shoemaker at Neptune Tattooville. The “shh” is by Slim at Acme Ink Tattoo.
